Dear Parents
Some teenagers sail through their adolescence with hardly any issues. Others struggle a bit more – whether it is in making and keeping friendships, negotiating conflict with their peers or other relationships. If you are interested in your teenager (boy or girl) attending a new Social and Emotional Skills group, please see the details below.
The Foundations for Life therapy practice in Plumstead is offering a new Social and Emotional Skills group for 14 to 17 year olds starting on Sat 22nd February. This group meets on four consecutive Sat mornings (23/2 to 15/3) from 9h30 and 11h30 and is designed to help teenagers “develop authentic and meaningful connections within themselves” and also develop improved interpersonal relationships with their peers and adults. The workshop will use mindful activities, role-playing, breathing techniques, guided visualisations and art to identify, understand and regulate their feelings and emotions.
